Entry Instructions
To sign up:
1) Fill out the Online Entry Form which follows this intro as completely as possible, and submit your payment online. The entry fee is $495. A $45 discount is given to boats less than 35-ft and to those whose owner is under 35 years old. PLEASE NOTE that entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Thank you for not asking.
2) The biographical information requested in the entry form will help us when writing your mini-profile for the Meet the Fleet Ha-Ha roster. The roster helps fleet members get to know each other and is a great reference throughout the cruising season. Here is the 2023 Meet the Fleet for an example. Once the rally begins you'll be glad you made the effort to be included.
3) Email patsy@baja-haha.com several photos of the smiling skipper, and if applicable, first mate, crew, and boat pets. (A 'head-and-shoulders' shot is best.) First impressions are important, so send us something happy rather than something taken at the DMV or passport office, and make sure they are in focus and properly exposed. They need to be moderately high resolution photos to be usable. The following are some great examples.

What Happens After I Enter?
1) Entry packets with your Ha-Ha Burgee will go out via USPS beginning in July or 2 weeks from your sign-up. Or you may choose to pick up your packet at Ullman Sails on Harbor Island in San Diego.
Those not picked up will be at the mandatory West Marine Skipper's Check-In on Sunday morning from 8:30-9:15 am.
2) Every person on your boat MUST complete an online waiver. You and your co-owner or skipper (if applicable) will use the Owner or Skipper Waiver.
3) It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to notify each crew member (kids too) of their obligation to complete the online Crew Waiver. You can just tell them about the link to the form at the baja-haha.com homepage.
4) During September and October we will periodically email you important rally updates, the latest changes in Mexican paperwork, and mandatory offshore communication setup information. Monitor your entry for "Boat Email" on the following registration form frequently. If you don't hear from us by October 1 check your spam folder or let Patsy know at patsy@baja-haha.com that we have a bad email address for you.
