JUST FOR FUN
HERE ARE SOME
PHOTOS AND MEMORIES
FROM HA-HA'S PAST
The 750-mile Ha-Ha route.
There aren't many courses
better for easing into cruising life. |
While the two official stops are at Turtle Bay and Bahia Santa Maria,
over the years a few boats have stopped at the Benitos Islands,
the lighthouse of which is seen here, or in the lee of Cedros.
The pier at Turtle Bay. As you can see,
the well-protected bay could easily accommodate 1,000 boats.
We've always had great relations with the folks at Turtle Bay, including the jefe.
The world-famous, fast-paced, women and children are never out,
Bazeball Game is a highlight of the stop at Turtle Bay.
Dinghies line the shore for the beach party at Turtle Bay,
although taking a panga ashore is often easier and safer.
It's hard not to make friends at the beach party in Turtle Bay.
Heading out on the 240-mile second leg from Turtle Bay to Bahia Santa Maria.
By this time it's nice and warm.
Looking down at the Ha-Ha fleet in the anchorage at Bahia Santa Maria.
It could hold even more boats than Turtle Bay.
If you look very closely, you can see the beach party site at spectacular
Bahia Santa Maria. Live rock 'n roll is on the menu for a surreal experience.
Forget Coachella, for a good rock 'n roll time with friends,
Bahia Santa Maria can't be beat.
Surf's up! The point doesn't always fire at Bahia Santa Maria,
but usually you can get some rides.
The early morning start of the 175-mile final leg from
Bahia Santa Maria to Cabo San Lucas.
Upon crossing the Tropic of Taurus, formerly the Tropic of Cancer,
this woman get's baptized with tropical water.
Of all the things to do in Cabo San Lucas, participating in the
Here to Eternity Kissing Contest in the surf is possibly the most fun.
